It is the first time that the Annual Meeting of AMMPA is held outside the United States.

Dolphin Discovery participates in the annual meeting of The Alliance of Amusement Parks and Marine Mammals.

From February 9th until February 12th in the Riviera Maya, it was held the annual meeting of the Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums (AMMPA).

This partnership is the first of its kind and more important internationally, as it is who certifies and regulates facilities that host marine mammals worldwide, through strict guidelines to ensure the welfare of marine mammals, visitors and their staff. For this meeting attended by board members parks, aquariums, zoos and research centers affiliated.

The program of activities includes different lectures on topics such as: "Updates on laws and international politics", "Status of efforts to save the vaquita", "Communication Tips for debates on social networks", "Stranding Committee Report", among others. In addition, in one of the sessions the new members who achieved certification in 2015 as well as the one that were renewed were advertised.
